This position is responsible for ensuring safe and compliant maintenance and operations for the 242-A Evaporator and the 241-AW Tank Farm and all associated structures, systems and operations.
Responsibilities include effective management of day and rotating shift staff, scheduling and integration, and overall accountability for compliant operations as needed to ensure mission objectives are successful.
Manages all aspects of 242-A Evaporator and 241-AW Tank Farm Operations, Engineering, Radiological Control, and Maintenance in accordance with established WRPS priorities, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Provides integration information to company level schedules. Interfaces with other organizations to ensure schedules and resources are aligned for maintaining compliant and mission essential schedules.

Accountable for personnel safety based on the principle of "Target Zero" injuries
Ensure Maintenance & Operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and company programs, policies and procedures.
Facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change and process improvements within the workplace

Develop effective working relationships with Bargaining Unit and non-bargaining unit personnel, demonstrating mutual respect and cooperation
Establish deliverables and follow through on commitments
Set high standards of performance for self and others
Ensure procedure compliance is expected and enforced
Manage resource allocation as needed to meet company schedules
Identify training and qualification assignments for Facility personnel
Manage effective performance of Facility schedules
Ensure personnel are assigned only work they are trained and qualified to perform.
Manage Corrective Actions/PERs
Identify and implement enhancements to conduct of operations implementation
Ensure that responses to abnormal event are conducted and reported appropriately
BA/BS and a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; with at least 3 of these years with experience managing craft and/or union personnel.
Experience with Nuclear Operations either on a Department of Energy site or commercial site.
Previous experience with DOE, DNFSB staff, and regulators desirable.
Previous experience with the 242-A Evaporator and Double Shell Tank Farms desirable.
