Job
Description
The Functional
Consultant is responsible for assisting in the analysis, delivery and support
of Manhattan WMOS implementation.
The person in
this role will be responsible for design, scoping, configuration and go-live
activities.
He/She would be
responsible for assisting the project manager in day-to-day activities and
driving solution with the client.
Roles &
Responsibilities:
Act
as liaison between business application users and the IT department relative to
requirements and solutions.
Work
with Business Analysts to conduct analysis of client business processes and
functional requirements.
Assist
in the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the
information.
Assist
in all activities for a WMOS implementation from requirements to go-live
stabilization.
Analyze
system issues to accommodate business needs using standard, best industry
practices / processes.
Provide
subject matter expertise to functional users and assist in defect resolution
within Manhattan application.
Provide
process consulting where required.
Develop
and maintain knowledge artifacts for client’s applications, including but not
limited to:
Warehouse,
Transportation & Operations Applications: WMS systems, transportation
systems.
Create
training, support, process documents, and test scripts where applicable.
Independently
manage business/IT stakeholders during the implementation.
Any
other duties as assigned.
Must have
skills and experience:
Four-year
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a BS/BA in
Management Information Systems/Science.
Non-degreed
candidates with an appropriate combination of education and experience may be
considered.
5+
years of most recent Manhattan WMOS Platform versions (2012 to 2016)
implementation experience.
2-5
years’ experience in application implementation of Supply Chain & Logistics
systems environment for large organizations.
2-5
years’ experience writing requirements, process and training documents, as well
as test cases and plans.
Expert
user in Microsoft Office with outstanding interpersonal skills.
Exceptional
communication skills.
Flexibility
to travel extensively
.
