What part will you play?
The Financial Contract Reporting Administration’s (FCRA) Deal Management department handles contractual reporting to talent and co-production companies on all of Warner Bros. film, television, and new media libraries. It’s an exciting, fast-paced organization that provides a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of the company – from production to initial film release through all downstream channels of distribution.
We are currently seeking a Manager for this team who will be responsible for the following duties:
Reviewing and approving new participations deal setup and/or deal setup changes for deal compliance, accuracy and presentation.
Identifying deal setup/template deficiencies, providing analysis on impact, developing an actionable plan, and ensuring timely implementation of resolution.
Managing the different streams of work, including but not limited to new deal setups for all groups, system template maintenance, deal setup change requests, on request statements and works with management to set priority and completion targets.
Analyzing, interpreting, summarizing and reviewing complex financial reporting provisions of talent, production, and distribution agreements related to video game, home entertainment, television and theatrical products, as needed.
Troubleshooting deal setup/system issues and collaborates with the project team as well as participations reporting to resolve issues to completion.
Providing input on the development of system enhancements and conducts robust testing on those enhancements.
Developing new training materials and works with staff to update and consolidate existing documentation.
Hosting training sessions within the group as well as to the entire division as needed.
Assisting in developing business standards, solutions, and best-practices for statement set-ups and deal summaries.
Assisting in the implementation of appropriate internal controls (including SOX requirements).
Developing and training staff, scheduling work flow, monitoring team assignments, and reporting status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
What do we require from you?
Bachelor’s degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years work experience in a finance, legal, accounting, auditing or IT environment.
Ability to reach and understand legal agreements.
Participations and/or entertainment industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with automated participations reporting system strongly preferred.
Experience with system implementations and testing preferred.
Prior experience with workflow tracking software (e.g., JIRA) a plus.
Strong competency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
