We are looking for a highly motivated, technically proficient, professional to manage the Workday Payroll application, troubleshooting on technical matters and day-to-day payroll operations. This role will be responsible for improving business performance, operational effectiveness, and efficiency through Workday Payroll. With our growing business, the ideal candidate must work effectively in a self-directed environment, taking initiative and proactively improving processes with alignment from the key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of combined experience in a leadership role and Workday Payroll at a global company. This role is based out of our New York office.

What You’ll Do:
 Technical Functional Support

Take the lead in the design, implementation and support of new Workday Payroll functionality, particularly around both internal and external integrations, performing system analysis and consulting with technology team members and other stakeholders to offer solutions using best practice
Provide functional support to the technical team in systems development and resolve production issues and defects reported to ensure timeliness of wage payments
Provide system expertise, address risks and issues through effective contingency plans, proper escalation; prepare project schedules, and ensure requirements are addressed during enhancements/process re-engineering
Develops systems standards and procedures to promote efficiency and effectiveness
Manage the Workday Payroll Integrations and error log as the Workday Pro (Payroll)
Manage the setup of Time Tracking schedules, hours codes, time off, etc. as the Workday Time Tracking expert
Payroll Operations

Collaborate with the Payroll Manager for the preparation and processing of US payroll using Workday; optimize current Workday processes and procedures
Partner with Human Resources, Compensation/Benefits, and other business partners to ensure accurate and timely transfers of data between departments and systems
Assist with SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation for payroll related processes and providing recommendations as appropriate
Assist with accounting/general ledger functions as it relates to payroll and compensation (journal entries, payroll accruals, account reconciliations, etc.)
Perform special projects or other duties as requested 
Who You Are: 
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 8 years of payroll experience at a public company with multi-state payroll
2+ years of experience with Workday implementation, support and maintenance projects
Workday Pro Payroll Certified is PLUS
Experience with Workday Payroll processing with strong technical abilities to create custom reports, research out-of-balances, troubleshoot issues
Knowledge of state and federal wage and tax laws and overtime requirements
Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel (Vlookup, Formulas, Pivots)
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, strong analytical and communication skills
Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with management and others in the company.
Makes sound decisions on routine matters in support of immediate work group’s goals
Ability to lead a team of resources in support of both project and production environment
