What you’ll be doing...
The position is responsible for generating sales revenue and, focusing on the acquisition of new accounts and meeting assigned activity, process and unit/performance goals. This position provides direction and support to the Sales team in outbound prospecting, presenting product, closing new business and prepares weekly and monthly forecasting for production.
Plan and prioritize activity and sales pipeline for inside sales professionals to achieve goals with an emphasis on team management, productivity and accurate forecasting.
Direct the presentation of Fleetmatics capabilities through web demonstrations and occasionally visits at prospects’ locations.
Partner with prospects and sales representatives to develop a business case for our solution and present the potential return on investment.
Follow-up on proposals and negotiate contracts with prospective customers.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services offered and awareness of the competition (i.e. - market share, pricing, services offered, etc.).
Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, networking groups, partners, professional organizations and the community in order to develop new business.
Complete all required documentation and reporting including call and meeting activity, forecasting and bids and proposals within assigned territory.
Meets regularly with team members either individually or in groups to provide feedback, coaching, and direction for daily sales activities.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for...
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline
General Experience Requirements:
Required: At least 7 years experience selling technical products
Preferred: Previous experience managing sales representatives
Internal Requirement: must have full-cycle sales experience
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities (e.g. software proficiency, language, project management):
Experience cold calling on small on SMB companies, directly to owners and other key executive decision makers
Proven experience in selling a variety of products and ability to quickly close sales
Ability to quickly identify and target best-selling opportunities in a specified fleet range
Ability to articulate customer needs and demands, while providing valuable input regarding competition and consumer requirements
Strong computer and presentation skills (navigating multiple web pages and effectively browsing for key information)
Working knowledge of Microsoft products, CRM as well as the ability to effectively demo all products, both in the field and online within parameters
Demonstrated leadership skills within peer group or previous management experience
