Description

Eaton’s Aerospace division has an opening for a ManufacturingEngineering Manager. The position is located at the Euclid, OH Facility.


The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible forplanning, organizing, and management of the plant’s overall ManufacturingEngineering activities to support manufacturing operations. Provides thenecessary technical direction to improve productivity, process/product improvementand reduction of overall product cost, while meeting production schedules. Alsoserves as liaison between Design Engineering and plant’s manufacturingteam.

- You will superviseproduct, process, plant, manufacturing, assembly, and engineering projects toimprove process capabilities, drive down cost, and improve manufacturingcapabilities.


- You will support annualbudget preparation through the development of capital projects/expenditures.


- You will driveaccountability to maintain timelines, project initiatives, and coststructures. Delegate project workloadsand allocate resources to accomplish desired results.


- You will manage thequalification of new products and raw materials to be incorporated into themanufacturing process as well as Leading assessment and selection of talent forManufacturing engineering positions.


- You will strive to exemplifythe Eaton Leadership Model on an ongoing basis.Support all departments with improving Safety, Quality, Delivery,Inventory, and Flex Productivity through capital expenditures, process checkdocumentation, value stream mapping, RIE/kaizen events, design improvements,process improvements, manufacturing recommendations, capacity improvements,etc.


- You will participate inmanufacturing process decisions involving new and existing product lines toassess/improve equipment & capacity.


- You will enforce anenvironment conducive to continuous improvement in manufacturing. Recommend alternatives for improvingproduction methods, equipment, operating procedures, and workingconditions. This includes workingclosely with cross functional continuous improvement teams.


- You will coordinatsmanufacturing engineering functional communication among resources to ensurecost, quality, and delivery objectives are met (internal, external,sales/marketing, engineering, design, etc.).


- You will evaluatereports, decisions, and results of departmental concerns in relation toestablished goals.

QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degreein Engineering from an accredited institution is required.


- Minimum 5 yearsof engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required.


- Minimum 3 yearsof supervisory experience is required.


- Must be legally authorized to workin the United States without company sponsorship.


- Thisposition requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject tothe International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must beU.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S.Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee,or Refugee.


Preferred Qualification:

- Master’sDegree in Engineering or MBA from an accredited institution


- Experience in Aerospace industry

- Experience in a union environment

- Lean manufacturing expertise
