Spare Key, was founded in 1997 to serve families facing a medical crisis.
A significant portion of the funds we use to support these families comes from events sponsored and hosted by Spare Key, as well as sponsored and hosted by others in support of Spare Key.
The 2020 Spare Key Groove Gala is our most significant fundraising event of the year, and is going to be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2020.
This will require significant support from a small staff
- as well as from dedicated and passionate interns who are seeking to play a major role in making a direct impact in the success of this event, as well as others.
We are looking for two (2) interns to work through the 2020 Groove Gala, and are prepared to commit to a minimum of 25 hours per week to this internship.
This is an unpaid internship, however Spare Key will provide a small stipend at the end of the internship, and will work with our interns to cover parking costs.
Position Responsibilities: Assist full-time staff with day-to-day operations and event planning Answer incoming calls and assist in answering inquiries about Spare Key and our events Manage projects for events and serve on the event committee Assist with the set-up and breakdown of events both on-site and in the office Assist with projects in the areas of marketing, event development and sponsorship/development as needed Assist the Marketing department with grassroots promotional efforts Attend a scheduled set of non-Spare Key owned events in an effort to promote our events to those participants.
Assist the Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Special Events with day-to-day promotion of Spare Key events Assist with the management of the Spare Key's social media outlets.
This includes increasing frequency of interaction, brainstorming contest ideas, and keeping the content fresh.
Write articles and press releases related to Spare Key events and people participating in them as assigned by CMO Assist in monitoring the performance of digital advertisements Marketing and Event Intern MUST BE AVAILABLE the entire weekend of February 21-23, 2020 for the Groove Gala
