Aggressively growing company in the Norther Kentucky area is looking for a Material Handler to performaccurate receiving, storing and shipping of product to meet company standards of sanitation, safety, security, and productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Material Handlers should be highly motivated team players, individuals who are eager to learn new skills and are willing to perform a wide range of warehouse related duties. Successful candidates will also aid the warehouse in maintaining all housekeeping and safety standards. Each Material Handler is expected to be trained in three key work areas, listed below.

Inbound Freight: Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to staging locations. Report product shortages, damages and mis-shipments on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary.

Putaway: Utilize lift truck and RF equipment to efficiently and effectively move palletized and individual product cases to storage locations. Consolidate same sku pallets when assigned.

Replenishment: Utilize Order Picker machine and RF to move product from overstock locations to pick locations. Place replenished stock into proper pick location. Perform location checks and do empty pallet sweeps.

Order Pick: Picker must be operating a hand jack, or a walkie rider Taylor Dunn and a RF gun perform order picking functions. Picks can be batch picks or case picks.

Order Pack: Pack all loose pick orders by: 1) putting and pulling the orders through the Put-to-light system, 2) placing picked product directly into correct size box, scan inner boxes, print case labels and packing list, or 3) complete packing of picks made directly into a box, by printing case labels and pack slips.

Outbound Freight: Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outbound shipments are complete and correct. Prepare shipping documents and accept signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move produce into trailers and containers.

Inventory: Keep accurate records and reports. Assist in physical inventories, proper stock rotations, and location maintenance, as directed.

Special Projects: Perform value added services, such as, item labeling, special packaging, or shipment preparations, per the direction of end customer. Repair damaged packaging and / or barcode labels.

Equipment: Certify on machine operation. Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with OSHA and company standards.

Other Duties: Charge forklift battery as needed. Clean work area, dispose of waste.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Material Handlers must have the ability to effectively interact with people through verbal and written communications skills and a positive attitude. They should be detail-oriented and can use or be trained at WMS systems, Excel and Word.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : 1 to 2 years of experience in warehousing. Individual must have the ability to use Radio Frequency (RF) devices and a Warehouse Management System, the ability to read and understand pick lists and pack instructions that are written in English. High School education completed, or GED preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:


- General knowledge
- Do simple math (add, subtract and multiply)
- Warehouse Knowledge
- Distribution & Inventory process execution
- Prefer certification in operating material handling equipment, (e.g. sit-down and stand-up forklifts, order pickers, walkie riders, etc.)
- Computer Skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
