The Assembler constructs multiple assemblies and sub-assemblies. Utilizes automated equipment and basic computer hardware and software to accomplish work. Uses testers, fixtures, self-inspection and troubleshooting methods and techniques.
Main responsibilities include:
Assembles, repairs, inspect and/or test products following written instructions.
Gathers and interprets information. May utilize other analytical techniques to identity and solve problems.
Reads and interprets documents associated with the completion of assembly assignments. Utilizes knowledge of basic math, drawings.
May setup and operates a variety of machines following written instructions.
Resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
Performs routine and non-routine moderately complex assignments using standard methods and sequences.
H.S. Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
2-year degree preferred.
2-6 years of related work experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environment is a plus.
Knowledge of lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools a plus.
