Fired Equipment Engineer
Responsible for the mechanical design engineering of Fired Heaters, Flares, and Combustion Equipment. Prepare, interpret, or review of mechanical fired equipment conceptual study, designs, calculations, specifications, systems and equipment. Responsible for interfacing with clients, project management, suppliers, other disciplines, construction and inspection personnel to define and manage the scope of work for Fired Equipment during all phases of a project.
Performs work, generally within one discipline, which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications.
Participates in one or more of the following:
Equipment design and development
Preparation of specifications and design calculations
Preparation of data sheets and material requisitions
Prepare technical bid evaluations and award recommendations
Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers
Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports
Preparation or review of material quantity estimates
Supplier correspondence on design or scope issues.
Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors and provide comments to ensure compliance to scope and specifications.
Participate in all aspects of thermal and mechanical design from initial feasibility and conceptual studies, through detailed engineering and in to the field.
Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors.
Input to the preparation of bids and proposals and will have in depth knowledge of the commodity market and supplier capabilities and will be aware of current developments in their field.

Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, and applications of engineering methods.
Knowledge in the area of thermal design including using industry standard design programs. Understanding of the application of industry and regulatory standard codes including API and ASME.
Good knowledge of material selection, fabrication and welding, NDE and inspection.
A recognized degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
A professional engineering license is a plus
Minimum 15 years of related experience
