What you’ll be doing...
This role is responsible for strategic positioning, marketing/communications and all stages of creative (strategy/development/flawless execution) to support the launch of Verizon's key new products and services in the wireless and other related categories.This includes developing a smart and consumer-centric position for each product/service, and driving holistic marketing plans and creative to support that position.

The ability to partner with and lead key stakeholders including the product/service business units, cross-functional marketing teams, insights, integrated marketing team, agencies (traditional, digital, and other) and production vendors is a must.

Success in this role will be dependent upon the individual’s desire to develop breakthrough creative that’s grounded in strong consumer and cultural insights – and an even stronger desire to manage the executional details of those ideas to near perfection. Also, the ability to adapt and work in a matrix-ed and ever-changing environment is important.

The position will be based in NYC, with some travel as needed.


Partner with the business unit and lead strategic positioning development.
Lead creative strategy, development and execution.
Autonomously manage multiple agencies, both traditional and digital, on all day-to-day aspects of the partnership.
Partner with internal cross-functional marketing teams to lead the development of truly integrated marketing plans.
Autonomously manage production and shoots.
Partner with business unit leaders and insights to develop clear objectives and success measures for all marketing and creative initiatives.
Think critically about the business and what is needed from a marketing and creative perspective to meet stated objectives and drive the business.
Measure and monitor marketing and creative initiatives to determine performance and potential needs for course-correction.
Manage complex situations and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions to those situations with strong partnership with peers as needed, and with little oversight from direct manager.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field with 8+ years of experience in marketing strategy & creating demand for existing or new products.
Excellent general business analytical skills able to quickly synthesize data at micro- & macro-level.
Experience working with & managing multiple agencies & internal cross function teams in the development & implementation of marketing plans.
Proven track record in the development & implementation of successful integrated communications programs for the products/services assigned.
Previous experience marketing tech.
Strong creative sense to inspire & provide effective direction/input to creative teams.
Understanding of what is required to execute flawlessly on strong creative ideas.
Proven success in managing & leading in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to solve unexpected challenges, break bottlenecks & challenge the status quo.
Capability of working on several projects simultaneously & maintains flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Outstanding oral & written communication & interpersonal skills.
Worked effectively across organization boundaries.
Built high performance work teams.
Ability to make trade-offs to deliver effective solutions to business partners in a timely fashion.
Demonstrated a highly consultative approach with business partners.
