What you’ll be doing...
The Centralized Engineering team is seeking a talented Engineer to support Verizon’s Synchronization/Timing network. Your role will include working across organizations to develop solutions to both utilize and support the Verizon’s Intelligent Edge Network.

Plan, design, build and maintenance of Verizon’s Synchronization network.
Initiate and project manage jobs for equipment installations for growth, maintenance and proactive upgrade of the Synchronization network.
Coordination and prioritization of work with Verizon’s installation teams and Vendors to drive project completion.
Work across organizations to react to redesign requests for the derived-timing network as legacy equipment is transitioned to the iEN network.
Collaborate with IT on the Synchronization Inventory Database migration, developing standards and enhancements to improve user functionality.
Work with Verizon Sourcing and Legal to negotiate vendor contracts, issue RFIs and vet new engineering and installation services vendors.
Develop and defend business cases and manage multi-million dollar budgets.
Initiate projects and build cross functional teams to continue to improve the diversity and reliability of the Synchronization network.
Work with Network Planning to determine how to build and design the Synchronization network that will support the iEN network.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor degree or four or more years of experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Vendor management and project management skills with experience managing complex cross functional technical projects.
Capability to be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced work environment managing multiple projects and delivering results within prescribed timelines.
Five or more years of work experience in a technical role that required project management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
