What you’ll be doing...
The Asset Management Centers are seeking talented Specialists to support management of the inventory of Verizon’s Intelligent Edge network encompassing Unified Transport, NGPON2, Multi-Service Edge, Base Network Controller and Converged Core technologies within the COEP database.

Asset Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Central Office Verification Team (CVT) serves as “gatekeepers” of the Central Office Equipment Property inventory database (COEP). COEP contains over $48.7 billion worth of COE network units of inventory.
COEP tracks the physical location of inventory and it plays an integral role in allowing the accounting systems (vSap, nSap) to track things such as depreciation and sales/transfer tax implications.
Through the use of barcoding technology, CVT manages multiple inventory processes to ensure that all changes to inventory units (work order/TEO adds and removals, barcode transactions, transfers, retirements, etc...) are maintained in the inventory systems in an accurate and timely manner.
As a CVT Turf Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting vendor engineers, core engineers, planners, technicians, vendor technicians, SD&A, finance and regulatory teams. You will work to clear any discrepancies between ICON and COEP to ensure that port connections for iEN jobs can be established.
You will verify the accuracy and compliance of barcode scans through established barcode error clearing and work order audit processes and guidelines.
You will perform Telecom Equipment Order (TEO) audits in order to validate consistency between ICON and/or CCP and COEP. TEO growth activity will encompass, but not be limited to, iEN projects as well as jobs in the VHO/SHE, VzB, VzT, fXO and Power space. In order to perform auditing functions, you will need to pay close attention to detail and have the ability to communicate effectively and track multiple tasks at any given time.
You will be responsible for matching the Sap project costs to the inventory residing in COEP, a process referred to as Scaling.
You will also be responsible for clearing barcode error suspense records and for conducting and meeting all physical inventory and asset management audits for central office network equipment and locations as mandated by Accounting Policy APM-1 annually.
Other duties may include processing journal entries between COEP and the Sap accounting systems, creating, modifying and managing assembly and barcode templates and managing inquiries received into the National CVT Help Desk.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience.
Four or more years of related experience.
Adherence to tested Methods of Procedure for all Asset Management work.
Experience with external and internal Verizon organizations coordinating and troubleshooting issues.
Experiencing driving automation initiatives and process improvements.
Demonstrated execution on policies and procedures in support of strategic objectives.
Even better if you have:
Experience with COEP / Asset Management, Auditing and/or Engineering functions.
Experience with ICON and/or CCP.
Functional knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language).
Familairitywith scripting languages that drive automation solutions is critically important.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills,including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
StrongProject Management skills.
Ability to provide timely and accurate inventory information to both management and other groups.
Ability to react quickly to changing environments.
Ability to generate, drive, and update problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems.
Ability to Interface with Vendor, Planning, Engineering and Service Assurance teams to support the network, services and customers.
