Essential Responsibilities


As the North America AC Systems Business Development Manager you will:


- Drive Commercial Strategy
- Define, communicate, and successfully execute the newly revised commercial growth strategy of the AC Solutions business for the North America (NAM) Region
- Work inclusively and collaboratively with the Region Sales Team, the Tendering team, and the ACS Project Operation team to focus on customer success
- Drive the ACS business growth by meeting or exceeding the Orders and as-sold Contribution Margin Op plan
- Work with the sales team to develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and ensure high accuracy tracking in SPEAK4GE (SFDC)
- Provide commercial leadership on all project opportunities, strategy to win, including positioning, differentiation, value proposition, proposal strategy, deal structuring, pricing, contract terms, etc. – through Customer negotiations and deal closing 
- Coordinate Business processes
- Coordinate and work with NAM Region BD Leader, NAM Executive PL Sales Leader, NAM ACS Operations,  and Commercial Tendering Teams to define and negotiate order intake operating plan
- Coordinate with region commercial team to assess future order intake in the most accurate manner, identify risks and opportunities and possible mitigation plans 
- Participate to Tender review and provide market data on pricing and risk assessment on deals
- Monitor commercial activity
- Monitor region commercial actions and results and communicate them regularly
- Ensure the commercial tools such as SFDC, IB etc… are properly updated and used


Role Summary/Purpose


The AC Systems Business Development Mgr will be responsible for providing commercial leadership while growing the business. This individual will focus on Canadian and US Utilities, support of Off-shore Wind, EPC/Contractors. Key areas within these segments include supporting the GIS business case which includes review and expanding our understanding of the available market, defining the product gaps, build the business case to fill the gaps, and confirm spec acceptance/exceptions at IOU’s


Qualifications/Requirements


- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in selling services, preferably in the Energy industry

- Strong drive to lead and manage the sales team and channels
- Strong customer mindset
- Ability to work in international and matrix organizations
- MBA 
- Knowledge of Substation Operations, high-voltage equipment, and digital asset performance offering.
- Strong experience with Contractual Conditions and risk assessment for complex turnkey/consortium offers 
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated success influencing internal and external executive audiences
- Ability to negotiate and to influence
- In-depth understanding of the electrical power industry
