Interacts positively with patients and their families.Key Responsibilities include:Schedules operative procedures in accordance with OR standards, policy and procedure.Confers with the Chairman of Anesthesia, Chairman of Surgery and Nursing Manager concerning the following day schedule.Apprises Nursing Manager or designee immediately of circumstances which may result in surgery schedule disruption, the projection of negative impressions or other consequences adversely affecting patient care.Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department and interdepartmental objectives and maintain good employee relations.Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service.Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.Attends meetings as required.The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:Answers telephones, screens and routes callers, takes accurate messages and provides complete information to callers.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines.
