At Stony Brook Medicine, this Operations Manager will provide management oversight for the Mart/New Bed Tower in all phases of Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanicals.


Duties of this Operations Manager may include the following but are not limited to:


- Management oversight for the Mart/New Bed Tower in all phases of Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanicals.
- Review all employee evaluations and employee performance documentation
- Effectively manage assigned staff and budgets of the East Campus Mart/New Bed Tower Elevator department
- Responsible for the maintenance and contract management of the East Campus Mart/New Bed Tower Elevator department
- Develop quality controls and improvements
- Review and implement all Plant Operations Policies andProcedures
- Responsible for the JCAHO compliance for all assignedarea's


Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and at least five years of technical experience in the mechanical and elevator systems or related field. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, at least ten years of technical experience in mechanical and elevator systems or related field.


Preferred Qualifications: Current NYS Qualifying Elevator InspectorLicense/Certification. Previous supervisory experience (in a health care and/orunionized setting). Proficiency in Microsoft applications. Strong communicationsskills, Experience maintaining a major healthcare facility. Experience with Regulatory Agency Compliance (Joint Commission, DOH, CMS).
