What you’ll be doing...
The Data Service Assurance Center (DSAC) is responsible for Switched Ethernet Service (SES) high-bandwidth maintenance, for the Verizon Wireline Operations footprint (New England, New York, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA and DC). We are a 24x7 customer facing operation. In addition to delivering a world-class customer experience, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Creating a culture of accountability within the framework of a positive work environment.
Leading a team of 15-20 skilled, union-represented technicians in an office environment.
Setting clear objectives, assessing performance and coaching for improvement.
Establishing clear roles, responsibilities and work assignments.
Administering associate training plan to support new technology and a growing customer base.
Responding to a very high volume of critical escalations in a timely manner.
Partnering with, and escalating to our internal supplier organizations to resolve troubles.
Administering Verizon processes and policies as they relate to safety, attendance, performance, work rules, and code of conduct.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, extended hours and on call as necessary.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Experience in network operations.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
2+ years of Network office or related field experience with designed circuits.
Working knowledge of V-Repair, WFA-DO, WFA-C and BAAIS.
Knowledge of the Ethernet product design and functionality.
Knowledge of union contracts and labor relations.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Outlook.
