Job Summary:


The Outside Sales Representative's key responsibilities include developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales of the organization's products.
This position is a field sales position that requires interfacing with the management group and product development as well as working closely with Transcendia customer service representatives in order to service existing customers and build new relationships


Job Duties:


- Develop new business prospects through cold-calling and other methods
- Develop and implement selling strategies with customers
- Interact with existing customers to increase sales of organization's products
- Interface with management group, and product development to service existing customers and build new relationships
- Forecast sales volumes based on current and historic order rates
- Forecast and pipeline new opportunities
- Administer pricing, quality issues, and claims; required reports
- Conduct in-field analysis between Transcendia and competitive products
- Promote broad product offerings, US productions, and distribution capabilities
- Maintain a Salesforce.com database with current customers, new opportunities, and weekly calendar
- Quarterly sales scorecard, explaining the gains and losses in the territory


Job Qualifications:


- Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the sales; industry preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing field or in a related area; and/or sufficient experience in lieu of degree
- Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Must possess good problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients, employees and vendors
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
- Proficient in MS Office products, Salesforce or similar CRM helpful
- Willingness to work as team member or independently
- Must be willing to travel 50-60%, some international required
