The non-volatile memory (NVMS) Solutions Architect is primarily responsible for developing, documenting, training and enabling memory and storage solutions for on-premise Enterprise and Cloud customers using Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory. They are also responsible for deploying, and operating proof of concepts of these solutions and assisting end customers as they deploy this new technology. Because this is a new technology, enabling it can go far beyond traditional or current industry approaches and include some element of pathfinding.

This role requires cross-discipline knowledge of server architecture from compute, memory, storage to network. The Solutions Architect is responsible for the engineering concept, design and implementation of innovative, cost effective and high-performance persistent memory solutions across various Intel teams and business groups in a manner that allows ease of use, effective collateral compilation to support marketing activities and quick adoption by users. The solutions architect will specify and refine the requirements of hardware, software applications, OS/hypervisors, management, monitoring, and performance testing to support specific customer use cases. The Solutions Architect will research industry technical use cases for this new memory product and create innovative solutions that can be repeatedly deployed and operated at massive scale by applying their unique, multidisciplinary, practice to ensure the stability, scalability, performance, and operational success.

This role requires software engineering knowledge from enterprise to cloud applications, to manage operational and reliability aspects of the systems they build, as well as operating system knowledge, including resource management, networking protocol stacks, file systems, troubleshooting and monitoring. The Solutions Architect will be accountable for architecting and designing comprehensive technical solutions that meet business requirements, accountable for partnering with business partners to characterize solutions that are aligned to Intel business needs, and gains acceptance of high-level design and detailed design documentation through enterprise and peer design reviews. The strongest candidates will be familiar with cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.), will deeply understand the memory and storage subsystem of server architecture and will also be familiar with hypervisor/container technologies, such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, Dockers, KVM, and VMware.

Additional Skills

- Strong communication skills for communication with customers at all levels from CEO to programmer.


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in SW Engineering /or prolonged course of study in a specialized field or equivalent experience.
9+ years of experience in Years of developing server solutions for customers
5+ years of developing server solutions for cloud service providers
1+ years of experience in CSP infrastructure development

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with memory or storage-based solutions
Master's Degree in Engineering
Pre-Sales technical support preferred
