Description

Responsible for international and domestic shipping to ensure the safe and regulated export/import of WDI products around the world in various entertainment and theme park locations.

Responsibilities :

- Supports the preparation and follow-through of the requirements to ensure a safe and regulatory-approved export and import of WDI product to various international theme park and entertainment locations
- Coordinates pick-ups from vendors internationally
- Responsible for international shipping documentation which includes: pro-forma invoices, export declarations, shippers' letters of instruction, temporary importations, customs registrations, and carnets
- Coordinates booking and pick-up arrangements for all ocean/air shipments
- Provides support to maintain international shipping project files
- Provides support to maintain DPR logs
- Maintains Export/Import files
- Provides support in educating Project Coordinators, Product Integrators and other WDI employees on the international shipping guidelines and process
- There are no direct budget responsibilities but the position must work within a set budget
- Rules and regulations of international shipping in a corporate setting
- Interfaces with ITS Coordinators, Project Coordinators & Product Integrators to coordinate movement of product from the U.S. to international sites and from international sites to the U.S.
- Interfaces with Project Finance to help verify costs of WDI products
- Interfaces with multiple international Park owners (International Land Companies and Government entities): pre-alerts and coordination of shipping schedules for maximum efficiency
- Helps to interact with U.S. Customs on all Imports and Exports
- Collaboratively works with Show Program Managers, Product Integrators, Project Coordinators and ITS Coordinators and freight forwarders
- Must maintain good working relations with project and functional management


Basic Qualifications :

- Minimum three years of international shipping experience in a corporate setting
- Experience or knowledge of design, production, construction and field work
- Comprehensive understanding of international shipping.
- Good understanding of project management process
- Self-starter, good business sense, organized, team player, good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multiple task simultaneously while addressing attention to detail
- Must be able to foresee problems/issues and have solution options in mind before presented with problems
- PC and software literate
- Ability to handle complexity
- Item Tracking System (ITS)
- Integrated business thinking and an international mindset of how things move around the world
- Demonstrated ability to work independently having been giving broadly defined role
- Ability to work with a wide spectrum of talents and disciplines


Required Education :

- High School diploma; some College or College degree in related field desired
