What you’ll be doing...
*Position can be located in any administrative network office in the East territory*
Partnering with Construction Power & Grounding (CPG) implementation team to champion capital and expense spending processes.
Ensuring team is reactive to CIP, OCNR, RNP and matching exception goals while supporting a common financial process across the team partnership with submarket budget teams to communicate the CPG Switch construction project status via commitment view and monthly outlook capital spending.
Assisting team by supporting project funding and PO creation when needed.
Driving quarterly commitment percentages to drive team success.
Assisting the East territory budget team to provide CPG team status updates related to commitments, actual spending and plan of record adjustments to the budget.
Supporting CPG vendor setup, PeopleSoft transactions and transition efforts in Ariba for electronic invoicing and payment.
Adhering to all financial directives, SOX requirements and supporting all financial audits directed to the CPG team.
Supporting to provide daily financial position, spending goals and all future spending predictions to the CPG team.
Logging all monthly spending and in servicing positions for historical reference.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Business, Finance or equivalent experience with financial tools.
One or more years of experience in engineering or network finance with a knowledge and understanding of NCMS/Budget Tools or UniFi, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Ariba.
Understanding of Verizon financial guidelines.
Strong vendor management and project management skills with experience managing the financial aspects of complex cross functional technical projects.
Capability to be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced work environment managing multiple financial projects with a record of delivering results within prescribed timelines.
