Principal Member of Technical Staff – Software Development-18000RFV   Preferred Qualifications As a developer on the Oracle Data Science Cloud Platform team, you
will have a hand in the design and delivery of a high-quality cloud service
with the capabilities, scalability and performance needed to match the needs of
enterprise data science teams and enterprise application development teams. You
will need deep experience with distributed systems, microservice architectures,
REST APIs, proficiency with solving real-world challenges in large data
systems, a strong understanding of how to build solutions that are resilient, highly
available, scalable and a proven ability to design, develop, and deliver
back-end systems.

Qualifications:

BS or higher
degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of applied
experienceStrong Python
skills with in-depth understanding of pythonic design patterns, data
structures and algorithmsStrong
programming skills in Java/ScalaExperience
designing REST APIs, microservice architectures and Docker
container-based systemsExperience with
databases, search engines, and big data systemsExperience building
high-performance, resilient, scalable and well-engineered systemsA creative and growth
mindset and willingness to solve challenging problems and learn new skills

 Detailed Description and Job Requirements Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
