The Process Technician is a critical member of the Manufacturing Reliability Fundamentals and the Factory Mars Operating System (MRF/FMOS) Area Leadership Team. The Process Technician drives operational excellence having 24 hour, multiple shift accountability for the process results of a department and/or line accountability. They will manage the Area Event Data Systems, lead process definition to identify Transition targets, document standards, and develop control strategies to enable operators to respond to out of control situations. The Process Technician is responsible for analyzing line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination and continuous improvement opportunities and lead root-cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for their area of responsibility. Process Technicians must effectively facilitate team meetings, upskill/train associates, and communicate issues within an area across all shifts.
Owns integrity of Line Event Data Systems (LEDS).
Analyzes line data to identify loss elimination opportunities/projects and executes based on prioritization.
Leads process definition to identify Transition targets and document standards.
Facilitates the Line Loss Analysis (Process Reliability Current and Future State).
Leads root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the line/department.
Participates in execution of planned stops.
Provides performance data for selected machines and communicates action plans and completed work effectively.
Develops control strategies to enable operators to respond to out of control situations.
Supports and coaches AM/PM activities within the department by providing analytics and developing standards.
Works with Process Engineer and Team Leads to ensure that all Area, Line and Departmental metrics are achieved.
Leads MRF/Process improvement teams as assigned.
Develops and maintains Daily Management System expert level for related equipment and coaches and trains others on this equipment.
Supports the Area Leadership Team in coaching, upskilling and training associates on manufacturing operations.
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing at Mars or
Associates Degree in Engineering, Supply, Business
