What you’ll be doing...
In this role, you'll be steering our externally facing innovation programs and events with startups, universities, and partners around LA while feeding insights and partner opportunities back to the business. Activities will include:
Communicating, educating, and demoing various 5G technologies and future capabilities to local partners.
Sourcing a portfolio of local partners based on prioritized opportunity areas.
Executing the local incubator in partnership with HQ teams and external innovation challenge partners.
Developing and managing relationships with key partners, proactively identifying opportunities for new events, programs, or trials to collaborate on.
Attending local events, both at our 5G Lab and externally (many of which will take place in the evening), and serving as the key representative and evangelist at those events.
Capturing and synthesizing insights from all local events and partners in a comprehensive manner that fits the strategic framework.
Planning logistics for events, challenges, programs, and trials with select partners.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Three or more years of experience within the startup community.
Willingness to travel to NYC and Basking Ridge, NJ up to 20% of the time.
Even better if you have
A proven track record of creating tangible outcomes through ecosystem programs with the startup and/or university community.
Existing relationships and ties to the technology and startup community in LA.
The ability to find win-win scenarios with new partners and execute them.
Proven ability to work effectively and independently as part of a remote, distributed team.
Coordinated innovation programs and outreach for a technology company.
An understanding of emerging technology and can code.
An ability to create new authentic relationships and sustain them.
Demonstrated a desire to change the world for the better through technology.
Passion for what's next but pragmatism about what's possible.
A get it done, hustle mentality.
