Description

American Express Travel Related Services seeks Product Owners to, under the supervision of a Director, serve as part of a team to optimize software development.  Work with Technology teams to translate business needs into technical requirements to drive the conversion optimization program.  Support the launch of new capabilities to drive onsite conversion, delivering simple, clear, and effective user experiences across devices.  Review research and usability studies to inform investment decisions.  Monitor the product roadmap and backlogs, working to ensure the Scrum teams and backlogs are aligned to business goals and priorities

Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with software product development and driving product roadmaps.  Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with translating technical concepts into presentations for non-technical business partners for a global product; 1 year of experience with Agile development methodology to create better products and improve development efficiency; 1 year of experience with product launch and post launch reviews; 1 year of experience with product management on a globalized engineering platform with localized content management systems; and 1 year of experience with ALM, Clarity, Core Java, HTML, Oracle, PL/SQL, process mapping, Waterfall, and XML.
