Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking Production Engineers for roles in St. Louis, MO and Oklahoma City, OK. At Boeing our Production Engineers (PE) are leaders in Production System design and oversight. Engineering, manufacturing, testing, and supply teams are just a few of the job roles where PE is ubiquitous in the lifecycle of an aircraft. We support production on the most sophisticated military aircraft in the world. Across BDS our teams support the next generation Air Force Trainer (T-X); tactical fighter aircraft (F-15, F/A -18); Autonomous Systems, 777X, Executive Transport Services & Support (presidential airlifts), bombers, commercial derivatives, and much more!

BDS Production Engineering includes subdisciplines of Equipment & Tool Engineering (E&TE), Industrial Engineering (IE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), and Production Review Engineering (PRE). Our teams establish the baseline build plan, provides and supports the tooling required to accomplish that build, and resolves all build conflicts that occur when building something as complex as an aircraft.

Key responsibilities could include:


- Lead lean build, delivery, post-production, modification, and recoveryprocesses.
- Designproducts such as architecture for builds
- Conduct critical path & supply chain analysis
- Perform product reviews and dispositions
- Support tooling design, design and production validations, retrofit, repairs, and modification instructions.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required):


- Ability to obtain US Security clearance (post-start).
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering (ABET preferred), mathematics, or science.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:


- Experience in Lean processes
- Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold,PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA,VisMockup,ProModel,FlexSim, 3DPrinted Parts, Moonshine Shop, MakerSpace,ImDev, ICIDO, Multi-Monitor Collaborative Rooms

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
