Nature of Work:The University of Colorado Denver seeks an experiencedProfessional Research Assistant to work in the Division of Pulmonary Sciencesand Critical Care Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. Thisfull-time position will help coordinate various research projects, including clinicaltrials, registry studies, and biorepositories, for the Pulmonary Hypertension ClinicalResearch Program. Professional Research Assistant SupervisionReceived:

This position issupervised by the Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension program and thePrincipal Investigator of the research studies. Examples of WorkPerformed:

Collaborating with principalinvestigators, co-investigators to enroll clinical trial patientsConductingstudy visitsOverall compliance with the policy andprocedures for conducting good clinical trialsScreening,consenting and enrolling study participantsCollecting,processing and storing samples for researchMedicationcompliance tracking and coordinating protocol proceduresAssessmentof adverse drug reactions and other serious adverse eventsPatienteducation and follow-upRoutinemeetings with monitors to reconcile data management issuesParticipationin investigator’s meetingsPreparing and submitting compliancedocumentation for the institutional review boardSubmission to the Human Research SubjectsPortal for UCH-RSS review and approvalCommunicationswith the Office of Grants and ContractsMaintenanceof databasesAbstractingdata from patient charts and electronic medical recordsServicein the following areas:ClinicalResearch Advisory Forum (RAF)ClinicalResearch Coordinators Committee (CRC)Supportwith local PH awareness and fundraising event


Salary andBenefits:

The hiring salary isnegotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtimecompensation.
