What you’ll be doing...
The planning and delivery stages are critical to the success of the project. As one of your main duties, assist with the development of the plan in support of the Project Manager and/or Lead Consultant. You will work with the Principal, Project Manager and Lead Consultant to document and manage the Project budget, scheduling a timeline and supporting the staff for the project. You will ensure the project is structured in compliance with the organization and project missions/goals and provide administrative support and guidance to the project teams. You will initiate the project within Clarity and other internal systems, populate all the necessary information and provide ongoing governance assistance of the project.

Providing support and guidance to project teams with regards to Project Resourcing, Management and Financials.
Tracking & reporting overall progress
Supporting the administration of the project budget
Planning & scheduling resources with the support of the Project/Program Manager, Principal and RDM’s
Monitoring resource utilization
Updating Verizon Project Systems
Performing high level quality reviews
Supporting the creation and ongoing reporting requirements of the project
Support after hours cuts and porting activities
Staff Management

You will work closely with the Principal and RDM to update assigned resources to the projects, once assigned you will add these resources to the Clarity Project. You will field/answer questions from the project team where they relate to project administration. Each staff member will enter their time into the appropriate time recording tool it is your responsibility to ensure they do this on a weekly basis and extract the detail to utilize within the financial and variance reporting. Each project will have a specific set of tasks and deliverables; these must be broken down by the consultant who will provide you with the estimate of effort per consultant per week which must then be entered into Clarity by Friday each week for the following week.

Performance Tracking

Project performance will be tracked and reported on weekly to the Project Manager and/or Practice Principal, you will also be called upon to provide weekly status reports on all projects that you are supporting. This will include monitoring forecasted time against booked time, calculating variances and establishing why these have occurred. You will provide a dashboard on a weekly basis showing the overall status of each project and a status of all projects in flight for the practice.

Analysis

Ongoing analysis of the project must be carried out and as part of the performance tracking and reporting you should flag any issues up to the Project Manager and/or Principal/Lead consultant, these Issues as well as Risks must be recorded against the project in Clarity.

Communication

You are responsible for reporting the project's progress to the Principal, Lead Consultant and your Manager on a weekly basis. You are not responsible for external communications with the customer unless you are assisting with billing issues or have been given clear client responsibilities by your Manager (within the project/program). Communication may be via email, telephone or presentation.
You will work with the Principal and Lead Consultant to ensure the project is closed correctly in the SFDC, Clarity and that invoices have been triggered. A quality check should be carried out on the project file share to ensure all documents have been saved to the correct location. Where required you will assist with high level project audits as requested by other members of the team and Verizon.
Your key responsibilities will be as follows (these may be modified at any time by your manager only):
Comply with all Verizon policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
Attend regular PM and assigned practice meetings.
Develop knowledge of Verizon’s Professional Services offerings
Support practice management team on projects and assignments when tasked.
Develop strong professional relationships with Verizon internal stakeholder(s)
Develop and maintain relationships that promote collaborative solutions for project setup issues.
Maintain a practice program spreadsheet/workbook for active projects within the practice.
Learn and then demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all Verizon applications required for projects.
