What you’ll be doing...
You will oversee small Cell 4G and 5G construction and installation as well as work with market Project/Construction managers to ensure a successful build and deployment program.
Project manages the financial, contractual, and regulatory approval process.
Project manages regional network construction of Small Cell site projects including new Small Cell turn ups, Small Cell expansions, reconfigurations, and system upgrades.
Works closely with RF, Real Estate, Equipment Engineers and Facilities Engineers to ensure cell site construction issues are cleared and requirements are met.
Spends time in the field with Construction Engineers on locations, designs, installations, test and turn up to insure small cell builds are completed correctly.
Works with outside vendors including General Contractors and Architectural & Engineering firms on project design and priorities to meet Verizon Wireless (VZW) standards and build schedules.
Hosts weekly routine planning and working sessions with critical stakeholders and regional Network Assurance Managers to review project scope, define issues, develop deliverables and associated timelines, assign primes and track action items.
Develops and maintains a detailed schedule for each project and actively manages the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule.
Analyzes implication of changes from the original schedule and takes required corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track.
Provides regular project status reports to management and the project team.
Coordinates and oversees the issuance of RFPs and the evaluation of responses, based on VZW purchasing requirements, and provides detailed analysis and recommendations for the best candidates for small cell construction.
Reviews quotes and issues purchase orders using PeopleSoft Purchasing system. Manages receipts related to the purchase orders and ensures that invoices are paid in a timely manner according to federal and state regulations.
Maintains the regional monthly cell capital plan ensuring spending accuracy in monthly forecasting and performing monthly true-ups of YTD monthly spending by budget item.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Project management experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Experience managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
Knowledge of agile methodologies applied to project management.
PMI or Project management certification.
Experience using Clarity Software.
Experience with Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies.
Strong technical background and an understanding of telecom network hierarchy and design.
Understanding or the ability to learn the required hardware to build a 4G and 5G network.
General understanding of network connectivity and hardware associated with network connections. CPRI, Routing hardware, CWDM/DWDM, Fiber optics.
Capability to coordinate with multiple work groups to ensure the proper approvals are received prior to construction process.
Ability to work in multiple databases to ensure dates, milestones, and critical information is well documented throughout the project.
Capability to generate reports on critical timelines and pertinent information.
