The Quality Manager would participate in the implementation of the quality program/plans. Functions on a project assignment either in a permanent or project office or at a construction or plant site.  Leads the project quality program development/implementation/maintenance.


Job Responsibilities

Implements the quality program/plans for a project at an assigned location.
Ensures timely and effective implementation of project quality program/plans.
Assigns work to and directs the activities of assigned quality personnel, including conducting performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
Directs the implementation of the project monitoring/auditing program at the assigned construction or plant site or project office location.
Prepares and completes quality audit checklists and participates in audits.
Represents the project during audits by management, the client and regulatory agencies as requested by the quality manager.
Identifies and reports conditions that require corrective action by management and follows up to ensure completion.
Prepares quality procedures for review, approval and issuance in accordance with client and company requirements.
Reviews quality related procedures and manuals developed by other departments, suppliers and subcontractors for conformance to project quality program/plan requirements.
Responsible for the project system documentation packages for completion prior to system turnover to the client.
Performs supplier/subcontractor qualification surveys, reviews requests for proposals, evaluates bid documents, reviews supplier/subcontractor quality programs, and performs source inspections, surveillances and quality audits.
Responsible for Quality Control activities for a Project Area for direct-hired and subcontracted work.
Responsible for reporting on-site/off-site inspection and testing activities to the Client for a Project Area
Responsible for Measurement and Testing Equipment related to a Project Area.

Job Qualifications

Must have a recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; or, specialized courses in engineering, quality, personnel administration or a specialized discipline with 15 years of relevant quality experience or in lieu of a degree with 21 years of quality experience.
Practical work experience in the fields of engineering, environmental science, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, business administration, or work experience as a quality engineer or equivalent.
Must have strong technical knowledge in the application of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or decommissioning practices sufficient achieve regulatory, technical, and operational requirements.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and functions which impact the quality program/plans.
