Description

Are you a detail-oriented purchaser looking for a challenging opportunity with a growing company? We are currently seeking candidates for a temporary-to-full-time opportunity in the Alliance, OH area. A successful purchaser will have the ability to read blueprints and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. If you have excellent communication and negotiation skills and want to work for a very reputable company, this may be the job for you!


Responsibilities:

- Obtain quotes, create purchase orders, provide purchase orders to vendors;

- Purchase parts, materials and services for spare, repair, field service, automation and capital projects;

- File all purchasing documents electronically, including POs, acknowledgements, reports, email correspondence;

- Communicate with vendors regarding status of orders;

- Communicate with manufacturing, sales, engineering and accounting departments;

- Read and understand drawings and manufacturing processes;

- Complete all purchasing requirements for a job within a specified time frame;

- Great Plains experience will be helpful.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel


- Previous ERP experience preferred


- Strong vendor management and negotiation abilities


- Microsoft Great Plains experience a plus
