Department DescriptionThe UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the number one pharmacy school as ranked by U.S. News & World Report in its 2017 America’s Best Graduate Schools edition. We are a nationally recognized leader in progressive pharmaceutical care practice, education and research. The School enrolls approximately 600 Doctor of Pharmacy students, 80 Ph.D. students, and 20 master’s degree students. We maintain a robust research enterprise dedicated to finding new treatments for diseases and better ways of delivering health care. Position DescriptionThe Office of Curricular and Student Affairs at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy seeks a driven, self-motivated, approachable, and collaborative professional to serve as Admissions Counselor and Recruiter for the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program. This position will support the School’s vision of providing prospective students with unique, engaging, and personalized recruitment and admissions experiences that demonstrate its commitment to student success, pharmacy practice, and advancing medicine for life. Position entails frequent traveling, including overnight, throughout North Carolina and beyond.

Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities-Possess strong communication skills, including verbal and written
-Be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and with a friendly, welcoming, and professional disposition to people from a variety of backgrounds
-Have an interest in or experience with admissions to health professions programs and desire to proactively support those interested in applying
-Possess a collaborative spirit and willingness to build meaningful relationships with prospective students, current students, and School officials
-Understand how to prioritize multiple competing priorities
-Feel comfortable working with various technology, including computers and iPads.
-Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without an accommodation

Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
