Regional Payment and Economic Value Manager-183125
The Medical Products Division is looking for a Regional Payment and Economic Value Manager to join our Health Economics team.
In this role, you will work as a field-based extension of the Health Economics team to ensure appropriate articulation of payment (coverage, coding and reimbursement) information as well as economic value for Gore’s medical device portfolio. You will become heavily integrated and linked with Gore’s Provider Selling Organization as a critical part of an effective institutional selling engine. This includes the ability to investigate, analyze, advise, educate, and develop strategies for addressing coding, coverage, and payment constraints placed by third-party payers (including government) on adoption of medical-device products at the individual healthcare provider, or institutional customer level.

Understanding both clinical and economic outcomes of surgical and interventional procedures and how they inform and shape U.S. policy and payment systems
Supporting the Provider Solutions Organization in all things related to Health Economics and the appropriate articulation of value to the economic buying influencers within Gore’s target customer set
Participating in customer engagements as part of a customer facing cross-functional institutional selling group (Provider Selling Team, Provider Marketing, Health Economics, Business Operations and Clinical Sales) as an active extension of the Health Economics function
Ensuring crisp articulation of economic value for Gore’s product portfolio
Ensuring Value Analysis Committee presentations represent appropriate economic value messages tailored and relevant to the targeted provider
Analyzing and understanding basic payor mix (Medicare / Medicaid / Commercial / Uninsured) for target provider institutions, using tools like Truven Market Scan, HCUP, IMS, or DRG
Arming the Provider Selling Team and Provider Marketers with the necessary health economic related information needed for successful institutional selling engagements (focusing on the economic buyers within a hospital, hospital system, value analysis committee, IDN, GPO, etc.)
Collaborating with Gore’s Health Economic and Value Strategists to ensure that the approved value propositions, tools, models and other value and services are fully leveraged within assigned customer accounts
Maintaining strong knowledge of health care policy activity nationally, regionally, and within State Medicaid Programs to interpret and influence the business impact and participation in cross-functional projects internally and externally to improve funding streams for existing Gore products
Providing the Health Economic functional link as needed for Provider Selling Team response to external RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, etc. and helping in related operational initiatives
Facilitating programs to increase visibility of relevant reimbursement and health policies to customers
Partnering with the Provider Solutions Organization to ensure key customer objectives are clearly communicated back to Gore’s Health Economics Team
Providing the payer point of view and priorities as part of field-based market research, marketing planning and other internal planning processes which require market access & reimbursement input
Providing insight to internal Gore teams regarding relevant payment issues faced by both providers and payors
