Remote Diagnostics Analyst

Mission/Purpose of the Job

This position reports directly to the Manager, Connected Vehicle Uptime Solutions and will be responsible for researching, writing, illustrating, developing and maintaining Remote Diagnostics Repair Instructions for Mack, Volvo, Prevost and Volvo Bus dealers and customers.  Will work with Diagnostics Engineering, Technical Support, Reliability Engineering and technical engineers to acquire correct and up-to-date information and maintain this information.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Support the Connected Vehicle Services organization with problem solving & data mining skills, in particular to support root cause analysis work, or service & solution development
Work with Reliability Engineering and/or technical engineers to plan and draft technical information and determine the most likely repair if multiple options exist.
Work and experiment with state-of-the-art data processing (SAS)
Create Rules for Remote Diagnostics/GuardDog Connect services
Support Analytical model creation for Predictive failure in SAS Platform
Data analysis of connected vehicle data to support Q&CS within GTT
Prepare text and graphics for technical information, using MS Word to layout information and graphics in a form that is easy to understand and is consistent with Remote Diagnostics
Submits prepared technical information for review by selected engineers
Create required graphics from existing Diagnostics procedures, Service Information and other sources.
Evaluate long-term needs in relation to major projects and information updates and maintains project timelines to meet these needs.
Critical Competencies
The analytics platform is provided by SAS institute. We think that you have extensive experience working with data analytics in SAS environments, including  a basic grasp of programming e.g. in SAS base, data modelling, as well as statistical analysis.
Analytical and statistical skills: Recognizing patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations on the most suitable models and statistical approaches.
Holistic & broad information & communication technology experience, understanding systems architecture, embedded systems, information management, IT project logic, programming
Proficiency in personal computers and network applications and aptitude to learn new program features and application software.
Analytical Skills: Recognizing patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations for action.
