Job Description Summary

The Research Specialist B will focus on understanding the molecular biology of human papillomavirus infection and its associated cancers. Under the general supervision of the PI, the incumbent will conduct experiments using tissue culture and molecular and cell biological techniques, collect and interpret data, and assist in the design of the new experiments as needed. The incumbent will be responsible for general laboratory maintenance, organization, and ordering.
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Research Specialist B:
A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Molecular Biology and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience are required. Must have strong organizational skills, good written and verbal communication skills, be able to learn new techniques and analytical methods, and must be a reliable and enthusiastic team player. Training and mentoring will be provided.
