What you’ll be doing...
Our Operational Assurance – Contract Governance & Federal Program team partners with stakeholders across functional teams including Compliance (ITSO), Product Management, Program Management, Systems, IT, Legal- Compliance, Legal- Federal to ensure Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) has the processes and internal controls to meet requirements imposed by government bodies, regulators, industry mandates or internal policies in order to meet our contractual commitments to our customers and mitigate risk.
Working with global cross-functional teams to identify risks pertaining to contract and regulatory compliance, analyzing current state, developing remediation plans, integrating new processes, monitoring implementation, reporting on effectiveness and ensuring sustainability of processes going forward.
Partnering with functional owners from the CISO organization, Operations, IT, Program Management Office and corporate compliance teams to monitor and report on compliance risks.
Documenting processes, controls and risks related to Product/ IT and Application lifecycle management, with specific emphasis on systems and information security management.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Contract Management / Information / Security Risk Management.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management.
Program/project management skills.
Experience working with State/Local or Federal Government agencies.
Ability to work with technical subject matter experts and translate that information seamlessly to non-technical employees and stakeholders.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability effectively collaborate with technical and senior business staff and management.
Detail-oriented approach, excellent follow through, ability to multi-task, manage projects in a collaborative environment.
Expertise using Microsoft Office/Google suite for project management and presentation of findings; exceptional presentation and influencing skills.
Strong technical abilities in IT and Telecom.
ITIL, PMP and/or Agile certification (optional).
Thorough understanding of the VES product portfolio.
Strong expertise in developing reports and dashboards with key findings and action plans.
Strong knowledge of contract management & analysis tools (such as Seal Software, Apttus etc.), including business/technical functionality.
Ability to understand contract provisions and their impact from a legal and business perspective.
Capability to clearly communicate business-related/and or technical subject matter expertise to IT peers, Business Partners and executives; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence large teams and functional leaders.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Visio, MS Project 7.
