The Legal Department of The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Secretary VI for its Immigration Department located in Burbank, CA.
Responsibilities
Provide basic administrative support to the Senior Paralegal and back-up assistance to the Attorney. The duties related to this support include the following:
Managing multiple priorities in a demanding, high-energy, fast-paced, team environment
Providing professional phone coverage, perform scheduling and calendar management activities using Microsoft Outlook.
Interface with internal partners and external legal and business contacts.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of legal secretary experience
Basic understanding of Outlook, Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new software applications
Basic ability to communicate effectively and efficiently through demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy skills
Demonstrated strong organizational skills
Demonstrated strong initiative
Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team environment
Proven ability to handle confidential information and interface with all levels of management
Basic understanding of court filing procedures and ability to prepare court filings
Ability to consistently present a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude to all team members and external legal and business contacts
Basic level of understanding in time management, with a focus on managing multiple tasks and competing priorities, meeting or exceeding deadlines, and changing course of action quickly in a fast-paced environment
Cooperative work style with flexibility to cover additional duties as needed
Must be pro-active and self-motivated, with solid follow-up skills
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
