Segment Group Lead - ECM Airline VP
Barclays is looking for a Vice President Segment Group Lead - ECM Airline. The Airlines ECM Marketing Lead (VP) will be responsible for the strategy, management, customer experience, and performance for a top 3 Airline program, products and portfolio. Key responsibilities include marketing, relationship management, and providing input into strategies related to all aspects of the partnership. The role will determine strategies to maximize performance including but not limited to early month on book, product upgrades, spend campaigns, merchant offer campaigns, attrition management, and benefits reinforcement. The ECM Lead (VP) will work directly with the Airline’s executives, partnership team as well as many internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Strategic Analytics, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Technology and Operations.
What will you be doing?
•You will be responsible for developing the Existing Customer strategies to achieve growth targets for a Top Airline partnership.
•Manage financial drivers to maximize P&L performance.
•You will be accountable for the strategy, development, management, and optimization of a $10M+ annual marketing budget.
•Responsible for identifying potential risks that could be detrimental to growth plan or the overall relationship and develop/implement action plans to address risks.
•Identify competitive trends in product, customer engagement, retention, marketing strategies and marketing landscape. Develop strategies to address gaps.
•Set the strategy for creative development for existing customer marketing initiatives and campaigns
•Ensure regulatory requirements are met for Existing Customer marketing offers and general marketing conduct/compliance.
•Daily interaction with program management and executives both internally and at the partner and with creative agencies.
What we’re looking for:
•Bachelor’s degree required (Business related field)
•10+ years of experience in marketing or partnership
•10+ years of credit card banking industry experience
Skills that will help you in the role:
•Proven track record of marketing, business development and setting strategic direction
•Demonstrated P&L accountability and ownership. This role has the autonomy to communicate and make decisions with the partner. Judgmental skills are needed to intuitively understand the P&L impacts / size of decisions and the best course of action to take. They will need to discuss and negotiate both internally with cross-functional Marketing, Finance, and Strategic Analytics teams as well as externally with the partner.
•Strong analytical skills.
•Travel is required for this position (5-10%), but there is flexibility
