Whippany, NJ

IB Documentation requires a hands-on .NET developer to join our newly formed Whippany team. The main job function expected from this role is to perform design, code development, application maintenance and support activities for Trident. Role requires technology expertise in latest versions and concepts of .NET [C#, MVC, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework] and SQL Server. Responsibilities include technical assessment of requirements, effort estimation, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance and support in accordance with SDLC best practices. Knowledge about design patterns, architectural patterns, and writing performance efficient applications. The role will require working closely and collaboratively with colleagues in Pune and London. This person would provide collaborative technical support to end users in Whippany as well as sharing production third line support outside of India hours with colleagues in London and Glasgow. Furthermore, the person will work on development tasks related to migration of Stock/Loan related confirmations to Trident.
 
What will you be doing?
•Gather requirements and perform effort estimation for a given piece of work.
•Develop quality code using appropriate technologies
•Passion for writing readable, performing, maintainable and extensible code
•Creating and maintaining unit tests for full code coverage
•Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards
•Providing support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases
•Provide UAT/Integration Testing Support as and when required across our suite of applications
•Strictly follow Barclays standard release management processes
•Establish best practice in release and change management space and evaluate any performance impact across applications
•Ability to juggle priorities, multi- task and flawlessly execute at speed

What we’re looking for:
Four year college degree level 
5+ years’ experience of .NET, C#, Dependency injection, WCF, RESTful, Multithreading, TPL
5+ years of experience with TSQL Skills with MS SQL Server, Query optimization, Performance tuning
3+ years of working experience in:  SOLID principles, design patterns, architectural patterns  
2+ years of experience in Windows Desktop development experience, Server side programming
2+ years of experience providing input into development plans, managing development issues and escalating when appropriate.
2+ years of experience with release management tools
   

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience of working in an Investment Banking environment
Knowledge on Java
Knowledge on Cobol
Knowledge of Informatica and Business Objects
Experience of BDD, SpecFlow, Rhino mock
Knowledge of the Smart Communication (Thunderhead Now) tool
