Description

Are you passionate about building cool devices and technologies? The Surface Team focuses on lighting up Microsoft experiences with touch first computing. A fundamental part of our strategy is having desirable and powerful devices that enable the experiences people want and elicit their excitement. Crafting these devices involves a close partnership between hardware and software engineers, designers, and manufacturing. We are currently building the next generation and Surface needs you!

The Surface devices team is seeking qualified candidates for a lead display engineering position to develop next generation of displays. You will play an active role in display and system architecture definition and design, driving development through mass production including troubleshooting system problems, root-cause failure analysis of display issues, and proactively engaging with multiple tiers of suppliers, as well as Microsoft Sourcing, Test, and Manufacturing teams.
You will provide critical subject matter expertise on OLEDs, LCDs, and other display component technology. You will analyze test data and drive the right solutions, including required trade-offs and design changes, all in the context of business priorities.
You will work with the Surface team to develop technology roadmaps, perform component cost analyses, and drive competitive benchmarking activities. The position involves working closely with system, electrical, mechanical, reliability, software and design verification engineers, and program managers.
