Your role is critical in ensuring our sales colleagues are appropriately compensated for their outstanding performance. Commission payments are one of the many ways that we reward our salespeople for their success. You’ll be ensuring that we comply with contractual agreements and sales compensation plans by accurately analyzing and processing payments and statements within established timeframes. Interfacing with multiple functions, you’ll implement procedures and controls and maintain our supporting systems. Having a focus on streamlining our processes, using technology to be more efficient and accurate, will help us to be even better.

Demonstrate understanding of compensation plans and policies or Agent contracts as well as a basic knowledge of incentive management, financial, accounting, and additional support systems.
Key activities will include the following: Review and analyze compensation data. Review audit reports. Respond to inquiries from the field regarding compensation. Reconcile and resolve discrepancies. Respond to internal Commission inquiries. Assist Management with complex compensation issues as necessary.
Demonstrate understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable process improvement.
A key responsibility of this position is to identify any improvement opportunities in this area and, if asked to, contribute to the design and implementation of new processes or procedures as a result of identifying improvement opportunities.
Value is provided to the enterprise by constantly improving the processes associated with the systems (e.g., CCRS, Callidus Cloud and dependent systems) and delivery of Commissions services to provide timely, accurate information and to ultimately safeguard Verizon assets.
Serve as a point of contact for assigned employees or agents, and handle complex compensation inquires. Provide support to all aspects of compensation. Participate in the training as required for job function.
Responsible for ensuring that any and all research, adjustments, analysis, and documentation related to compensation are in compliance with SOX, Company Policy, & Audit.
Analyze and interpret reports for managers providing recommendations to guide business decisions.
Undertake complex projects and provide guidance on project related issues as needed.
Actively participate in User Acceptance Testing activities associated with new or modified systems to ensure systems are properly paying when enhancements/adjustments, new compensation plans, or new Agent contracts are implemented.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Finance, accounting, finance operations related experience.
Query tool experience (e.g., SQL/Cognos).
Even better if you have:

Master’s degree in Accounting, or Finance.
Three or more years of finance, accounting, finance operations related experience.
Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
Experience in a compensation related field.
Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
Familiarity with Verizon Compensation system, Billing, and Order Entry systems.
Experience with Google Suite.
Experience with Tableau.
Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) and to lead and drive operational initiatives.
High standard of personal performance, an independent thinker with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
Strong analytical, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
Demonstrated skills for business success, including project management, problem-solving, and the ability to diagnose and meet business demands.
