Key Accountabilities 
In this position, you will be primarily accountable for consistently, effectively: 
Demonstrating full and complete mastery of the core Health Economist position and responsibilities
Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of therapeutic area strategies, disease areas, relevant clinical, patient, payer, and reimbursement landscapes
Making important contributions to the successful research, development and commercialization of Genentech products:
Providing critical insights and perspective into research, development and commercial long-range and annual business strategies, plans and objectives
Making critical contributions to HEOR long-range and annual planning and budgeting
Working with manager and others to align Genentech and global Roche HEOR strategies, plans and objectives
Expertly demonstrating to payers, clinicians, patients and other external constituents the economic and quality of life value and benefit of Genentech's products
Providing expert insights to enable effective, efficient and competitive pricing and contracting
Playing a key role in ensuring the successful and optimal listing and positioning of Genentech products with payers
Expertly designing, developing, conducting, overseeing and/or managing HEOR primary and secondary studies and HEOR internal and external communications
Playing a lead role in development of robust, targeted and efficient HEOR modeling and other key processes, standards, techniques and tools
Providing expert quality assurance monitoring and reviewing of cross-functional activities to ensure alignment with the HEOR strategy, direction and objectives for assigned molecules/products, disease and therapeutic area(s)
Working collaboratively and efficiently with all internal and external customers, partners and stakeholders
When assigned, participating in cross-functional long-range strategies and/or other programs that influence or otherwise impact quality of life, pricing, access and/or other HEOR dynamics
When assigned, acting as a standing or ad hoc member/participant in Genentech and/or global Roche core and sub teams
Developing and cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other thought leaders
Where applicable, overseeing vendor support to ensure high quality, timely and within budget research and reporting
Identifying, leading and completing recurring and special projects
Taking a leadership role in developing HEOR training and other education materials and content for use within and outside of the HEOR group
Assisting with recruitment, on-boarding and ongoing coaching, mentoring and training of new or less experienced health economists
Ensuring assigned goals and objectives are met and that assigned projects and other work are completed on time, to high standards and within budget
Demonstrating a commitment to compliance by:
Complying with all internal and external policies, guidelines and regulations
Proactively raising questions and seeking advice as needed to deepen compliance knowledge
Sharing compliance knowledge with colleagues and promoting an open dialogue on compliance topics
Completing all required compliance training 
Example Responsibilities In this position, you will: 
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the therapeutic area research, development, and commercial strategies, plans and objectives, the relevant clinical, patient, payer and reimbursement landscapes
Establish and cultivate relationships with KOLs and other thought leaders who can advise and influence Genentech's HEOR strategy, direction and objectives for assigned molecules/products/indications, franchise(s), and/or overall therapeutic area(s)
Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers, partners and other stakeholders. Work cross-functionally and provide an in-depth, expert HEOR perspective, inputs, advice and recommendations
Provide strategic HEOR support to internal cross-functional customers, partners and other stakeholders that enables them to determine the best research, development and commercial strategies for Genentech molecules/products/indications. Includes providing critical advice, guidance and inputs into Genentech and Roche long-range plans, Strategic Lifecycle Plans, 3-year and 1-year cross-functional business and tactical plans
Participate in local and global HEOR strategy development and planning across the assigned therapeutic area(s) and in broader, internal forums,
