Description of Job

Want to get into a career inLearning Management Systems? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for a systems and service oriented professional to build and enhance their technical skills while also being part of the creation of a new training and development function for theGovernor's Office of Information Technology (OIT).

Our Sr. Human Resources Administrator* will be our go to person for all LMS technical and administrative functions. You will be responsible for the maintenance of content, assets, and other resources used for learning and development for the organization including statewide compliance and cybersecurity awareness training.

Some of the day to day duties include:

Ensuring the operational performance of the LMS and all OIT eLearning platforms.
Providing administrative support and accountability for the LMS including daily administration, reporting, employee inquiries/education on the LMS, and consulting with internal customers.

Publishes/archives online/instructor-led courses; assigns training curricula; adds/deletes resources; monitors accounts; resets passwords; maintains security roles; and creates, updates, and maintains system parameters.

Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.

Act as the subject matter expert for the LMS and continuing operations of the system to serve the learning needs of the organization.

Assists the unit with various projects and special assignments for the training program.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Two years of experience as an LMS administrator OR HRIS administrator.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work autonomously, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors.

Demonstrated ability to gain new technical skills quickly.

Prior success in delivering a positive and timely end user experience.

Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and simplifying complex technical information.


Training or certification related to the work assigned to the position will be considered as a substitution for the required experience and/or education at the hiring manager's discretion.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Previous LMS experience, Cornerstone preferred.

Coursework and/or certifications relating to learning management system administration.

Knowledge of eLearning standards.

Experience creating/updating Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, and preparing written reports.
