What you’ll be doing...
The primary purpose of this position is to provide guidelines, recommendations and share best practices at the East Territory level for large venues, Stadiums, Arenas, and other inbuilding systems within the territory.
Provide technical analysis, troubleshooting, and training assistance to submarkets and markets as requested.
Establish processes to take upcoming product from function based FOA to user case based implementation guidelines that submarket teams can focus on executing.
Evaluate cost effective solutions and drive the implementation of those in the submarkets through effective guidelines, communication and training.
Evaluate stadium and in-building designs using ibwave and working knowledge of DAS systems and work closely with submarkets to implement and optimize them efficiently.
Develop tools and analytics to make processes and day today work more efficient.
Work with submarkets on important high profile events like Superbowl to make sure we are equipped to handle the load and user demands for these kind of special events.
Take the lead on evaluation and trial of 5G technology and LTE advanced features for inbuilding systems and large venues.
Continuously evaluate new products for iDAS, ODAS, 5G and other CAT5/6 based in-building solutions.
Work to establish a WIFI Strategy for deployments in large stadiums and arenas.
Interact professionally with customers (internal and external).
Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
Work well with colleagues and with various departments (Territory and HQ teams, Network RF/SP, Network Operations, Network Engineering, Maintenance Engineering) and vendors as a team.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four of more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in wireless industry.
Even better if you have:
A degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience in wireless industry including System Performance context-and-knowledge of LTE including VoLTE and RAN Networks.
Knowledge of major DAS systems like Commscope, Mobile Access, Solid and or JMA (Knowledge of CAT5/CAT6 based systems like Ericsson DOT and Spidercloud is a plus).
Knowledge of LAA, CBRS and 5G architecture.
Strong Programming background.
Knowledge of IP and transport protocols.
Strong statistical and analytical abilities.
Working knowledge of at least one data collection tool such as Datapro, TEMS Symphony.
Working knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
Ibwave level 1 certification (Ibwave Level 2 or Level 3 certification is a plus).
Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools such as Planet, Atoll, ACP, DB Planner.
Knowledge of Ericsson/Nokia-ALU systems including OSS.
Knowledge of 3GPP LTE standards.
Ability to understand, compile, evaluate, and present complex data and solutions.
Ability to differentiate and diagnose RAN and CORE related problems; understanding of Systems Engineering aspects related to RAN & proficiency in Core level call flow analysis.
Knowledge of mapping software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, Topo.
A strong work ethic and capability to work extremely well in a team and effectively independently.
