The Senior Insurance Advisor will be responsible for providing significant subject matter expertise on all lines of Commercial P&C insurance to both employees and clients, in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities: Deep technical understanding of all P&C lines of coverage, including: Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber/Network Security & Privacy, Fiduciary, Errors & Omissions/Professional Liability, Crime, General Liability, Auto Liability, Workers Compensation, Property, Builders Risk, and Owners Interest Liability Deep understanding of the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania Workers Compensation rules and regulations is strongly desired.
Utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market place, reviews clients' exposures and loss experience and develops solutions for complex clients' needs as needed.
Understanding of various risk-financing options, including Large Deductibles, Retrospectively Rated Programs, Captives, and Self-Insurance Assists in policy form reviews for new business, renewals, and proprietary form development.
Understands nuances of clients industry and the related risks associated with industry and provides advice accordingly.
Contributes to the firm's insurance knowledge and keeps abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions.
Conducts insurance technical training for new employees and ongoing training for the firm.
Assists in new hire process.
Serve as a mentor and aid in negotiations as needed.
Review clients' contracts on behalf of the Account Management teams in order to provide insurance and indemnification advice Provides coverage opinions in claims situations as needed.
Provide technical expertise to clients engaged in construction projects including Builder's Risk and Owner's Interest Liability insurance Provides guidance on clients' Mergers & Acquisitions from the insurance perspective.
Participate in client meetings as a professional "presence" prepared to troubleshoot and resolve issues when needed Job Requirements: JD Degree preferred 10+ years of experience in P&C insurance field, at least partially in a broker capacity.
P&C Producer License preferred CIC or CPCU designation preferred High emotional intelligence to read client needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel EPIC experience desired
