The product data group creates product definition for use in SpecPro, DTNA's new truck spec'ing tool.  Drawing from sources throughout DTNA, our mission is to provide the appropriate option content including, but not limited to, data codes, compatibility, pricing, weights, and product images to support bringing new truck orders into the company correctly from our dealer body.


Responsibilities

 
Create and maintain product definition content in a 3rd party tool software product definition data base. Work is done either at the component or chassis level as assigned.
Research new chassis product definition or changed definition using mainframe compatibility, code gen, MIPs and PAR product definitions and translate into 3rd party tool software.
Package content changes into updates to forward to SpecPro 21, obtain prices and option weights from sources to forward to SpecPro 21.
Resolve conflicts in SpecPro 21 product definition as reported by dealers or DTNA.
Requires interface with engineering, product marketing, CAE, purchasing, pricing, SpecPro 21, Launch and Change Management and component manufacturers.
Function as backup resource for Senior Systems Specialist.
Backup resource for creation and maintenance of data book code generation rules, status rules, electronic component parameter rules, option packages, and truck generation masters (TGM).
Other special project coordination related to new product definition / SpecPro requirements.
