Senior Specialist, Market Intelligence /Strategy

Independently, conducts, coordinates and analyzes advanced market intelligence for internal clients; helps lead the definition of research goals, design instruments/methods and fields the research. Conducts advanced analysis and reports results, often to senior audiences. Liaises with client-facing staff in various areas of the Bank with research requests. Has an in-depth understanding of available data sources and can appropriately leverage internal and external systems, databases, etc. to develop theories, describe characteristics, and explain motivations behind market behaviors and environments. Collaborates with management to establish research/analytical methodologies for the area/department. Research often is in support of new business development and retention of existing revenue streams across the assigned business segment. Maintains knowledge of competitor global service offerings and provides recommendations on how to improve the Bank's competitiveness. Works with relationship managers and product development to assess the market feasibility of new offerings to the market. Works with large datasets and data structures for purposes of statistical and trend analysis. Conducts client research, performs data mining, creates executive presentations, and creates databases. Leverages internal and external databases, public websites, and news outlets for purposes of data analysis, and aggregation. Uses advanced statistical methods (from descriptive frequencies/means to multivariate techniques) to examine and analyze data on clients and the marketplace to support business development, segmentation/ opportunity analyses, sales strategies and special projects. Determines possible strategies for specific client segments and engagement channels based on gathered insights. Manages research projects of moderate scope and coordinates findings into presentations for senior leaders. Liaison and advisor to assigned business areas, providing expertise on market environment and helping to develop client and business strategies. No direct reports. Provides work guidance to less experienced colleagues. Leads projects of limited scope. Project responsibilities extend beyond the team/area and may impact a business segment.


Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, mathematics/statistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred, market intelligence and analysis experience preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
