We have an outstanding Contract position for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Washington, DC surrounding area.

** Candidate must possess a Top Secret Security Clearance. ** Please click on this link if you have any questions on how to obtain a clearance: Responsibilities: -Lead the design, development, integration, and ongoing operations and maintenance of mobile systems and network components. -Develop effective architectures for new systems that leveraged and enhance current technologies and are adaptive to the user and organizational requirements-Provide technical subject matter input to other relevant stakeholders within the organization-Support project teams with insight on all technical considerations and impacts on project management details such as timelines, dependencies, planning, and system performance. -Troubleshoot issues that occur within the environment and resolve them in a timely manner based on SLAs.-Oversee day to day maintenance of the environment to include reviewing backup success/failure, security logs, and other daily tasks.-Identify and implement environment enhancements

Education:-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent related field experience)

Required:-4+ years serving as a system engineer/administrator supporting Microsoft Windows environments-Strong understanding of development, installation, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques-Ability to lead teams, handle multiple ongoing projects, and prioritize tasks. This includes working in team environments as well as working independently on system engineering tasks-Experience securing and hardening operating systems and hardware-based on Federal Government guidelines and standards such as NIST Proficiency scripting in PowerShell or equivalent-Proven experience designing and supporting systems in Windows Server 2010/2012, MS SQL Server, MS System Center (SCCM), O365/SharePoint and MS Azure-Experience with disaster recovery involving site to site replication, RPO/RTO, snapshots-Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-hosted environments

Desired:-MCSE/MCITP EA; Security+, ITIL® Foundations certification-Experience with ServiceNow, agile development, and ITSM-Prior experience in Federal client service position
