Come join Intel's Core and Visual Computing Group's Datacenter Architecture team. We are looking for someone with a solid computer architecture virtual memory management background to join our Scalable Coherent Fabric team which defines IO virtualization capability for products in all segments at Intel.
Determines, specifies and evaluates the viability of complex hardware features and structures to ensures software and hardware designs interface correctly
Designs framework for particular functions
Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses
Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families
Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:
Ability to analyze data, make sense of it, and present
Strong problem solving skills
Communication skills (including written and verbal communications)
Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 9+ years of industry experience or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of industry experience
2+ years of experience with computer architecture and solid knowledge of multi-processor cache coherency and I/O architecture such as PCIe
1+ year of experience with modeling new uarch features in performance model (C++/SystemC) and analyzing their performance
1+ year of experience with exposure to design
Computer architecture, multi-processor cache coherency and PCIe architecture background
Virtualization and memory management experience
Experience with address translation/page walker experience
Experience with analyzing data; particularly performance data; drawing conclusions and recommending remedies
Previous leading experience with the ability to communicate across the ladder of leadership in a multi-organizational environment.
