What you’ll be doing...
The Single Sign-On (SSO) team is part of the Chief Information Security Organization (CISO). The SSO team provides authentication and authorization services to internal VZ homegrown applications and vendor hosted applications for any type of device. SSO infrastructure is based on Computer Associates’ Siteminder product. The SSO team has developed many custom solutions around Siteminder to meet the demand and requirements of VZ security.
Our SSO Team is looking for an engineer to help us develop our next generation SSO platform to further enhance security around SSO services for mobile devices and applications running on public-private cloud providers. You will develop, manage and maintain desktop and mobile Single Sign-On solutions. The desktop SSO solution is already developed and requires regular updates to meet new requirements and/or resolve issues/bugs. The solution for mobile devices is in the infancy stage using the latest methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, deploy, integrate and support Single Sign On (SSO) using DevOps model for all types of devices.
Develop, maintain, support and troubleshoot VZ and vendor applications hosted in Private/Public Clouds (AWS, Oracle, Google)
Analyze Server side and client Side SSO logs to debug issue.
Manage SSO server inventory and work with different VZ Teams to manage SSO servers, firewalls, storage, network etc.
Perform and analyze Security web and IP scans and identify required patch to resolve reported security vulnerabilities.
Evaluate SSO webservices and new authentication & authorization features of SSO (i.e REST, Certificate Authentication, Federation services, OAuth and OpenID). Develop integration guidelines and test cases.
Integrate and support VZ Mobile native apps with the SSO Rapid Application Solution (RAS) to simplify and standardize authentication on all types of mobile devices.
Develop solution using Cordova framework.
Write technical documentation and user guides to assist VZ application developers
Customer Service and Tier 2 support for all SSO enabled applications (including participating in a 24x7 on call rotation)
Provide support to applications and users in non-Production and Production environments
Work with cross functional teams located across VZ to develop, test and debug desktop and mobile SSO applications.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
A deep understanding of SSO framework especially Computer Associates’ Siteminder.
Working knowledge of Public Cloud (AWS, Oracle, Google).
A deep understanding of all browsers (IE, Chrome and Firefox) architecture
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Excellent customer service experience.
Knowledge of Mainframe and distributed processing systems, database concepts.
Working knowledge of Apache Web server.
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Oracle Directory Services (SUN LDAP).
Working knowledge of Client-Server technologies.
Working knowledge of multiple operating systems (UNIX and Windows).
Working knowledge of Oracle Webserver 7.x (SUN JAVA Web Server) and IIS 7.x.
Excellent PC Desktop, Laptop, and Macintosh trouble-shooting skills.
Knowledge with Network concepts/protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP).
Knowledge of Remote Control Technologies (such as VNC, MS Terminal Service, SMS, Marimba, or DameWare).
Perceptual and analytical thinking, excellent time management and follow-up skills.
Must have outstanding customer care and interpersonal communication skills and strong oral, written, and telephone abilities.
3+ years working experience with Siteminder
2+ years working Experience with MS Active Directory and Oracle Sun LDAP
3+ working experience with UNIX/LINUS Operating System. Able to develop shell scripting.
Certified AWS Solutions Architects - Associates a plus.
